Who We Are
The Scioto Southland Civic Association is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents in the South Side neighborhoods of Columbus, Ohio. Our mission is to foster community engagement, advocate for neighborhood improvements, and create a safe, vibrant, and inclusive community.
Our Journey
Originally founded as “Save Our Southside,” our organization was established to address the needs and concerns of our neighborhoods. Over time, it evolved into the Scioto Southland Civic Association, embracing new challenges and opportunities in our commitment to serving the community. While we’ve faced some truly difficult periods, we are now focused on moving forward with a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
A New Chapter
Today, we are committed to revitalizing our organization and returning to our core mission of civic engagement and community advocacy. Under new leadership, we are implementing systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in all our efforts. We are dedicated to rebuilding trust and making a positive impact in our neighborhoods.
